The article explains how to submit American Heart Association e-cards or RQI cards in EverCheck Wallet by entering the card number and submitting for verification. It details how to identify RQI BLS HeartCode eCards and the importance of selecting the correct submission option. For physical certificates, users must upload images of the document, enter the expiration date, and submit for employer review, noting the status may show as "Verifying" until approved.
E-cards & RQI cards
When the American Heart Association has issued you an e-card or RQI card, you’ll enter your card number in EverCheck Wallet. To do that, you will:
-
Log in to EverCheck Wallet and click on the inbox message on the Wallet homepage to Submit Your License Details, which will take you to the list of requirements that your employer has requested.
- From this requirement list, you will find and select the American Heart Association (AHA) credential you are trying to submit.
-
When prompted, select Enter e-card number.
-
Enter your 12-digit e-card number OR your 21-digit RQI number, depending on the type of credential you hold, and what submission option you're using to upload.
Important note: If you aren't sure what type of RQI BLS you hold, please search for your eCredential number on the issuing authority's website using this link: https://certificates.rqi1stop.com/certificates/us/verify_certificate
If your credential shows a prefix of HC in the Program name and Provider eCard for Certificate Name, as shown below, this means you hold an RQI BLS HeartCode eCard
You will need to submit your information using the submission option that matches this exact RQI type. If you don't see this option listed in your submission options, please reach out to your internal HR team so they can review and help make any necessary changes to what they're requesting from you.
-
Select Submit to have your information verified and transmitted to your employer.
Important note: Once submitted, EverCheck will update the expiration date on your RQI credential in your account automatically when you complete your quarterly renewal.
This means you won’t see an option to update your certificate in your account going forward. If your eCredential number changes with the issuing authority, please work with your internal HR team on making any necessary updates in your account.
Physical certificates (for instance, paper heart cards)
When you have a physical document as proof of your certification, you’re able to submit this documentation in EverCheck Wallet by uploading an image of the document from your desktop device.
To upload this image, please follow the instructions below:
-
Log in to Wallet and click on the inbox message on the Wallet homepage to Submit Your License Details, which will take you to the list of requirements that your employer has requested.
-
From this requirement list, you will find and select the American Heart Association (AHA) credential you are trying to submit.
-
When prompted, select Upload a Photo. Be sure that it includes both the front and back of your certificate. If there is only one side of your certificate, upload the front side for both sections.
Accepted file types include .jpg, .jpeg, .pdf, .png, and.tiff. - Enter the recommended renewal date or expiration date listed on your certificate.
- Select Submit to have your information transmitted to your employer for review.
Important note: When you submit your updated credential via image upload through EverCheck Wallet, employers must review and approve this submission.
For this reason, your certificate may show as “Verifying” for some time. Once your employer accepts or rejects your certificate, the status will change.
