The key to having your AHA course completion card accepted is to capture a good photo. If it's not quite right, your card will likely be rejected. Here's what a good capture looks like: 

  • The type of credential you're capturing matches the type that's requested (for instance, if your employer requests a BLS, be sure to submit a BLS and not an ACLS).
  • The card is 100% authentic and issued by the American Heart Association.
  • The image is clear and centered.
  • The Recommended Renewal Date entered matches the card.
